Weiss gave blake one Pouch of dust over a year ago, its gone dude, she bought more
This plotline has been anything but pointless, its been far more engaging then sitting at Hotel Rwy. Blake’s objectives were to reclaim the white, which she has already maid her first steps in, and to get back her friend ilia also accomplished. I prefer that they took their time with it, Hate does not evaporate, it take time to let it go. Blake is fighting against somthing so big here and very real but since it doest directly have to with salem it gets seen as inconsequential
Right, I guess they did stop the White Fang takeover of Menagerie. The thing I meant though is we begin Menagerie with the Belladonnas in charge and end in that same spot. I guess if we’re working towards a larger Blake heads the White Fang plot then yeah I can totally see this as first steps, so good point.
Some comments
1. The point of the menagerie stuff was Blake’s character development, like the point of the Atlas stuff was Weiss’, she’s not running away again, she’s found a voice, she succeeded in helping a friend not being helped. They could have made the political situation more interesting but they didn’t really care about it.
2. I didn’t mind Leo to Raven I may be a coward but at least I’m upfront about it conversation.
3. I agree in principal that violence in what is basically defence of self and others in the face of oppression may be justifiable. It’s just that if all it is is prejudice, we’ve never seen or heard of the equivalent of a faunus pogrom, only dodgy work practises by the Snees. To justified armed resistance and aggressive raids we’d need to see slavery or oppression on screen.
4. I’m quite invested in the end. There is a chance we have an aftermath, licking the wounds, episode (or half episode) to deal with the character interactions.
Yeah it’d be good if it was for Blake’s development but it took until this episode to get results from that.. and they were minor? It’s not like Blake didn’t have a voice before. I liked the not running away line but that seems very minor. Maybe it’ll manifest more later like Weiss’ has been.
Yes good point on that they haven’t done a good job at all showing faunus oppression. Doesn’t change anything I said, since I think we’ve seen the show from a human perspective. But yeah this is just another area where their portrayal of faunus stuff has been bad.
I get the racial discourse and respect your opinion but it’s not always super fun to listen to, which I’m maybe more into with this podcast? No hate just a super subjective opinion here I guess.
