First, I very like listen to your podcasts and I think they are interesting (and they are also reason why I watched leaked episodes early. I thought “but then I will put myself into hiatus” and then “screw it, I can still look forward new podcast every week “.)
Second:
1. Do you think it’s possible that no one is looking for Peridot because Yellow Diamond already considers her dead? (I’m referring to the detonation of communicator in Message Recieved.)
2. I think that on missions are sent multiple rubies only because of fusion purposes – from what we’ve seen so far, they don’t fight individually but only when fused into one bigger entity, single ruby isn’t perhaps very useful (But it’s true that we’ve seen them only in The Answer and Hit the Diamond so maybe we can’t judge yet.)
3. Why exactly is the Earth mission considered failure in the first place? If the goal were fusions experiments and the Cluster, what can be wrong (…or was mission something slightly different, what exactly was the goal then)? Homeworld can’t yet know that the Cluster is bubbled and won’t emerge (even Peridot didn’t know the exact time when it’ll take form so it must take homeworld a while until it finds out that the Cluster “didn’t work”). Or is it because they “accidentaly destroyed their own ship while landing”? Even in Message Recieved Yellow Diamond told Peridot that she “have failed at every stage of this mission”, how did she manage to accomplish that? What do you think?
4. This is not very important, but how do you think Lapis knows about flirting? Does she know it from Homeworld and it’s a thing even there, or… jeez, what the hell was Pearl doing with that mirror…

#1 is interesting. Maybe? But now at the very least looks like she’ll know Peri is alive when the Rubies tell her. #2: Yeah I agree they send multiple rubies so they can fuse, but it’s interesting, maybe other gem types are like that too. #3 I think it’s that they crashed at the end of s1, yeah. You’re right YD shouldn’t know about the cluster yet. #4 Yeah I don’t know how she knows! I doubt it’s a concept on homeworld so maybe she learned it from observing Earth for years?
Just wondering, is Justin really into Stapis, or is that just a joke? Not judging, just curious.
I think he’s into their friendship and calls that shipping? Or I hope at least lol. At the very least he’s into the ship name, which to be fair is great.
Diamond fusions will probably be like super robot stock footage transformations XD
Another Rose Quartz would probably mess up Pearl more than Steven. Also, I remember some leaked episode titles (not sure if they were real or not) mentioned Rose, like Rose Returns, and Steven vs Rose, so I think another Rose would probably be the only way that could happen.
Only “real” epi titles we know would be those provisional titles and I don’t think any of them had Rose, but yeah Pearl having to fight a Rose Quartz would be intense.
I heard an interesting theory that since Jasper is Quartz gem, and the one to lead the Crystal Gems in their rebellion was also a Quartz, YD might be concerned that she was the one to turn Peridot against Homeworld.
Notice Amethyst is the only one that wanted to fight the rubies, while the others wanted to avoid that. I don’t think it would be easy for our Ruby for obvious reason, and Sapphire too, to fight someone that looks like a loved one, that would be hard.
You guys bring up a good point of how hard it would be to fight gems that the same type of the Crystal Gems, I think it would not only be hard for Steven to fight another Rose Quartz, but also another Amethyst, Pearl, etc., he loves them as much as he loves his mom.
I think Amethyst being the only one who was ready to fight the Rubies, I think that is forshadowing, a enemy this season will be another Amethyst.
Yeah it’s probably a good point, they might have a hard time fighting any gem that’s the same as any of them. I feel like Pearl would definitely fight a group of Pearls though..
Yeah you are right, but it would particular hard for Steven. Imagine him having to fight another Amethyst, can he be able to put it aside that this an enemy, and not his big sister.
There is an upcoming episode called “Steven vs Amethyst that is what it is about.
Lol we’ll see if that’s an episode, I don’t think we have anything beyond provisional titles right now. Yeah I do think fighting any of them would be hard for Steven.
