Hello! I do want to say, Adrien has mentioned that he was a child once. It’s confirmed that he was childhood friends with Chloe, and during the episode “Despair Bear”, Chloe has something of a flashback to her and Adrien as kids. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure he was a kid, even if he might be a sentimonster.
P.S. I 100% agree with the theory. Hope it’s correct ^^
