Thanks guys! I’ve followed your fun commentaries of this great show. So many quick gags and inside jokes and you catch a lot of them. I am old and consequently notice a lot of parody the writers are doing. Among the things I’ve noticed, here are two interesting ones (maybe you mentioned these but I didn’t notice; here they are anyway): the running gag, which you seem to be down on, with PC/Amy having to say tortured rhyming and alliterative things about her show biz dealings are a parody of the bygone-era show biz press which used to use goofy rhyming shorthand to report entertainment stories, especially in their headlines. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sticks_Nix_Hick_Pix
Also in the heavy scene where Diane explains to Mr PB how he gets older but his girlfriends/wives stay the same age, it’s an almost word-for-word quoting of Matthew McConauhey’s riff in the movie Dazed and Confused, right down to MrPB’s response, “All right, all right, all right.” Clever stuff.
Hope to be listening to you next season.
